I purchased a subscription to Coast To Coast insiders so as to listen to the programs without being forced to listen to up to 20 minutes of commercials per hour.
Additionally, the subscription would allow me to choose those programs that were of interest to me.
I downloaded the Coast to Coast app so as to have the convenience of simply downloading podcasts directly to my iPhone rather than going through the process of downloading to the computer and then syncing to the phone.
The problem arises that the iPhone app will not download the available programs consistently. Sometimes it works but more often than not, it just sits there – blank.
For the few times that it does download and I do find programs that I want to hear, I have to scroll down through up to 120 sessions depending on the date of the desired program.
Once I download the desired “hour”, I then am required to scroll down again through up to 120 sessions to download the second “hour”. If I want another session, the scrolling is again required.
First and foremost, the app should consistently provide the available sessions for download.
Second, why should users be required to repeatedly scroll through the available sessions? A more efficient method might be to have the option to select multiple sessions and then download en masse.
Third, why are only the previous 30 days available?
The app appears to have been developed by an amateur.
It also appears the no person associated with Coast to Coast ever looks at the app, attempts to use it, maintain it or even to look at the user reviews.
With the hundreds of affiliates and the endless commercials the Coast to Coast association should have finding available to have the app professionally developed and maintained. Otherwise, they should simply withdraw the app and admit incompetence in developing apps.
